Get healthy with a cup of tea

Whenever we think of tea the one thing that hits our mind is a hot beverage that rejuvenates us. It is a great stress releaver and reminds us to take a bit of time out for ourselves everyday, and not worry so much about the silly things at work or all the baby boys clothing that we need to wash and fold before sending the kids off to school. Not to mention the other stresses of modern day life like paying the bills or putting petrol in the car.
However, generally we tend to have this drink the moment we get up from sleep, but hardly are we aware of the health benefits associated with it. Tea is one of the most common and most affordable beverages in the whole world. More than 90% of the world’s population drinks tea at least once a day.
There are basically 3 kinds of tea, the green tea, black and red tea. Generally, most people think that it is only green tea that is good for our health but that’s half of reality as black and red tea are also very beneficial. All forms of tea have an antioxidant property in the form of polyphenols.
Polyphenol helps to immunize you against dangerous dieses like esophageal, ovarian cancer and gastric. Apart from this if you consume tea everyday then your cholesterol level will also come down. Even blood coagulation is prevented by drinking tea, and also while you consume tea your body will receive a lot of nutrients.
However, like in the case of everything, an excess of something is not good and this holds true for tea too. There are some people who consume 5 to 6 cups of tea in a day but that’s not right as this can have negative effects.
If you really want to get all the benefits of tea then prepare it with ginger, fennel, thyme or cardamom. These work as antiseptic agents which help in digestion, and also remove wrinkles from the face. You can even lose weight and have skin that glows by consuming tea. Thus, as you can see, there are many benefits that a person can avail with just a cup of tea. So, go ahead and have that cuppa!
