Tea in the heat!

Tea in the heat!

My goodness I love tea! I love it so much that I’m prepared to swelter in the heat while sipping on a piping hot cuppa. I’ve heard people say on several occasions that drinking a hot drink cools you down by lowering your body temperature. I’m not sure if this is true or not but I’m still drinking tea throughout the heat wave! I’d drink it in the desert if necessary. This morning was a bit traumatic as I’d run out of biscuits and my favourite bit of crockery was nowhere to be seen (it was a leaving gift from when I was working at independent financial advisors uk and is massive). As you can imagine this was a bit stressful and I instantly accused my flatmates of stealing my favourite ever mug in the world. However even after searching the flatmates rooms the mug was no where to be seen! So in the end I was forced to wash up the other less impressive mugs and put the kettle on.

Then the second problem arose as there were no biscuits left in the biscuit tin! I think most people have their morning rituals and it can really throw you off if they’re disrupted. By the time I got to work I was apoplectic and to cap it off I still felt really sleepy. The caffeine in the tea obviously hadn’t kicked in yet which was very upsetting! So I went straight to the kitchen (or “breakout room”as they insist on calling it) at my work and put the kettle on. Luckily no one else was in the room so I had a bit of peace and quiet in which to sip on my fresh cup of tea and enjoy the air conditioning. In addition to this the break out room is nicely stocked with biscuits of all different varieties, including the classic digestive so my five minutes with a cup of tea became the ideal dunking experience. Perfect!
